Actor Frankie Muniz, best known for playing the title character in the hit 2000s sitcom âMalcolm in the Middle, recently declared on social media that he is âproudâ to "live for Jesus Christ.â
âHappy Sunday! I am proud to say I live for Jesus Christ. Whoâs with me?â wrote Muniz on X Sunday.
Munizâs post, which has been viewed 2.4 million times, was met with a positive reception, including Christian actress Candace Cameron Bure, who wrote, âLetâs GO!!! Praise God.â
According to The Christian Post, Muniz has been more vocal about his faith in recent years. For example, in January, he posted an Instagram video of himself listening to the worship song âBuild My Lifeâ by Pat Barrett before the video switched to another video of him being pulled over by a police car.
âHilarious contrast of feeling good praising God, to being pissed off in the matter of minutes,â wrote Muniz. âAll part of His plan so you have to trust the good and the bad.â
Following his success with âMalcolm in the Middleâ alongside star Bryan Cranston, Muniz became a NASCAR race driver after famously walking away from Hollywood in 2006 to focus on racing and family.
âI had all the cars â I was a big car guy â so, yeah, I did get to experience a really amazing life in that sense. But all that comes at a super high price. Money does not buy happiness. Look at Hollywood â thereâs a lot of miserable people, right?â he told US Weekly in a recent interview.
Muniz took a break from NASCAR racing in August after breaking his wrist due to falling off a ladder in his backyard.
"The phrase âFMLâ (Frankie Muniz's Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these. I'm disappointed to share that I wonât be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture," he wrote on Instagram at the time. "Yesterday, I fell from the top of a ladder while changing the batteries in a Ring camera in my backyard. Note to self: heed the ladder warning that says, âDo not sit or stand on top step.â"
"In hindsight, a taller ladder wouldâve been smarter. While Iâm gutted to miss the races, Iâm grateful it wasnât worse," he continued. "I feel for my team, whoâve poured their hearts into this season, and Iâm thankful for @FordPerformance and their unwavering support. The doctor estimates a 6-8 week recovery, so Iâll be back in the driverâs seat as soon as Iâm cleared."
Earlier this year, Disney announced a "Malcolm in the Middleâ reboot, which will include original cast members Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek on board to reprise their roles as Malcolm and his parents, Hal and Lois, respectively,â Deadline reported.
âI think people will be surprised, in a sense, where everybody is and the story. But itâs only four episodes,â Muniz told The Hollywood Reporter regarding the reboot. âItâs hard to fit in 20 years of stuff into four 30-minute episodes, right? But I think people are going to be very happy with what they came up with.â
