As we previously told you, ABBA announced a special virtual concert, “ABBA Voyage,” featuring avatars of band members Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, backed by a live 10-piece band. Well, tickets for the show just went on sale and fans have some definite opinions.
Fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts on the tickets, with some just happy they snagged them. “Forgot how stressful concert tickets can be to buy, but ABBA voyage tickets booked 👯♀️,” one person shared, while another added, “Ticket secured... robo-ABBA here we go.”
Others complained about the steep price, as tickets range from about $28 to about $140. “Got ABBA tickets in my basket but cant afford them what a time to be alive,” one wrote, while another described the band as “thieves,” writing, “not ABBA charging £80/£90 for tickets to see them as HOLOGRAMS.”
“ABBA Voyage” is set to open May 27th, 2022 at an arena built just for it. The ABBA Arena is described as a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Check out some of the reactions below:
