Bob Dylan's "Heaven's Door Whiskey" Drops New Irish Whiskey

What better way to celebrate your birthday than by releasing a new whiskey? Bob Dylan, who celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this week, has unveiled the latest whiskey through his "Heaven's Door Whiskey" brand. This release is a limited-edition collaboration with "Redbreast Irish Whisky" and called "Master Blenders' Edition." It is billed as "a tribute to both American and Irish artistry and whiskey."

This new release starts with "Heaven's Door's" 10-year aged low rye bourbon and is then finished for 15 months in "Redbreast's" 12-year Irish Whiskey casks. These two combine together to create a whiskey that is both smooth and flavorful. There are notes of nut, spice, leather, as well as citrus, dark fruit, sherry and Irish honeycomb.

Dylan was involved in the process from start to finish. He even helped to choose the final blend and to create the actual bottle itself.

The "Master Blenders’ Edition" is super limited-edition right now retailing for $99.99 for a 750ml bottle on ReserveBar.com. As of Tuesday night, it was sold out on the website.
