Genesis is back on the road. The band kicked off their first tour since 2007 on Monday night in Birmingham, England.
Phil Collins, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Daryl Stuermer and Phil’s son Nic Collins treated the crowd at Utilita Arena to a career-spanning setlist that included some tunes the band hasn’t played in decades. They opened with an instrumental medley, played “Duchess” for the first time since 1981, and closed out with “The Carpet Crawlers.” Amid his health issues, Phil stayed seated in a chair throughout the show.
Genesis arrives in United States on November 15th. They’ll play two nights in Chicago, Illinois and wrap things up with two concerts in Boston, Massachusetts on December 15th and 16th. Check out the full list of tour dates HERE.
