It looks like we’ll be waiting a bit longer to find out who wins this year’s GRAMMY Awards. A rep for the show initially told Variety that the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, which were supposed to take place January 31st, were being postponed, with the Recording Academy later confirming the award show's move to March 21st.
"After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our network partner CBS, our host, and artists scheduled to appear, we have made the decision to postpone the 63rd GRAMMY Awards to March 21, 2021," the Academy's interim chief Harvey Mason Jr. shares in a statement. "The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles... have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do."
He adds, "Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show."
Trevor Noah is still expected to host the award show.
