Janet Jackson is giving fans their first look at her upcoming two-night documentary.
“Janet,” airing January 2022 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of her debut album, has been in the works for almost five years. It will feature archival footage of some of Janet’s biggest moments, and follow the singer and her family as they deal with the 2018 loss of family patriarch Joseph.
The teaser features appearances by Janet friends such as Missy Elliott, Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey.
"This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes," Janet shares in voice over. "This is the truth. Take it or leave it, love it or hate it. This is me."
