The “Milli Vanilli” documentary premiered on Paramount+ last week, and its giving a serious boost to the group’s music catalogue. On-demand streams of Milli Vanilli’s music saw a 34-percent surge since the doc came out!
The group’s hit song “Girl You Know It’s True” is reportedly doing particularly well, with streams up 26-percent. Overall the group, led by the duo Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan, saw about 80,000 more streams after the premiere of the doc than the week before it came out. Rob died back in 1998.
The “Milli Vanilli” doc covers the group’s history, which saw a huge rise in the 80s but a quick fall after it came out that they didn’t actually sing on their recordings. Morvan shares in the documentary that “finally, the true story of Milli Vanilli has been told.”
