Prince fans just got a new musical treat. The late singer’s estate just dropped a previously unreleased 1979 demo of his track “Do Me Baby.”
The song was featured on the 1981 album “Controversy,” and was shared to celebrate the 40th anniversary celebration of its release. The demo is performed entirely by Prince, and is faster than the original album version.
So far it appears the song is a one-off release and not tied to any sort of album anniversary release. The “Do Me, Baby” demo is being released for purchase as a limited cassette (only 1,981 copies). It’s also available as a purple 7-inch. Click here for info.
