Tom Moffatt, Hawaii’s all-time legendary disc jockey and concert promoter passed away Monday evening at the age of 85. Ongoing loving tributes continue to pour in for Hawaii’s beloved “Uncle Tom” at his radio station, 1079 Kool Gold.
As one of the Nation’s prolific concert promoters, Moffatt brought the Islands such iconic entertainment acts including Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, the Young Rascals and Frank Sinatra, just to name a few.
Uncle Tom’s Rock & Roll Drive-In on 1079 Kool Gold continued to be one of the highest rated radio shows in its 8 a.m. to noon timeslot every Saturday morning.
