Tina Turner has sold the rights to her music catalog to BMG, with a deal that includes her share of her solo recordings and publishing assets, and rights to her name and image.
“Like any artist, the protection of my life’s work, my musical inheritance, is something personal,” Tina shares. “I am confident that with BMG and Warner Music my work is in professional and reliable hands.”
The company says it will work with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to “maintain and develop her musical treasure trove and safeguard her inspirational legacy.” BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch adds, “We are honored to take on the job of managing Tina Turner’s musical and commercial interests,” noting, “It is a responsibility we take seriously and will pursue diligently. She is truly and simply the best.”
