Diddy To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations are in order for Sean “Diddy” Combs. He will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards. According to a press release, it honors those “who have not only significantly shaped culture through their extensive careers, but who have also been transformative leaders that consistently inspire generations by setting a true standard of excellence." Previous winners include Whitney Houston and Prince.
Diddy earned his place by founding Bad Boy Records in the early 1990s. The label that gave us The Notorious B.I.G, Ma$e, Carl Thomas, 112, and Faith Evans, to name a few, becomes a hip-hop powerhouse, selling more than 100 million records worldwide. The three-time Grammy winner also has a successful fashion line and in 2013 launched REVOLT Media & TV, the first Black-owned multi-platform cable music network. He recently announced the launch of the R&B label LOVE Records, which will release its first album this summer in partnership with Motown Records.
Diddy will receive his Lifetime Achievement Award on June 26th at the 2022 BET Awards.
