Billy Joel did his usual fantastic job performing at Yankee Stadium on June 22nd and 23rd in 1990, and now fans get to relive it in theaters. “Billy Joel: Live at Yankee Stadium” is scheduled to premiere in theaters worldwide on October 5th and 9th.
The original concert has been updated in 4K with Dolby ATMOS audio and remixed from the original 16mm film and tapes and includes a never-before-released performance of “Uptown Girl,” as well as interviews with Joel and behind-the-scenes footage of the production.
Tickets go on sale for the two-day event next Wednesday at 10 a.m. Eastern Time through the official website.
