Here’s some good news for Fleetwood Mac fans. In a new interview with “Rolling Stone” Mick Fleetwood reveals he has reconciled with bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, who split with the group in 2018 over touring issues.
Mick says they reconnected for the first time in two years after Fleetwood Mac founding member Peter Green died last July. “I’ve really enjoyed being re-connected with Lindsey, which has been gracious and open,” Mick shares. “And both of us have been beautifully honest about who we are and how we got to where we were.”
So, does this mean we may one day see the original band members tour together again. “Strange things can happen,” he says. “My vision of things happening in the future is really far-reaching,” noting, “Would I love to think that [reunion] could happen? Yeah.”
Of course Lindsey’s relationship with Stevie Nicks could stop that from happening, with Mick sharing, “I can’t speak for the dynamic with Stevie and him.”
Finally, Mick offers, “I know for a fact that I intend to make music and play again with Lindsey,” adding, “I would love that. It doesn’t have to be in Fleetwood Mac.”
