Rockefeller Christmas Tree Is Chosen From Upstate New York

This year's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has been chosen. The tree is a Norway spruce that measures 80 feet tall and 43 feet in diameter. It was donated by a family from Vestal, New York about two-hundred miles northwest of New York City. The spruce will be cut down next week in preparation for the annual lighting ceremony, hosted by Kelly Clarkson on November 29th. It will be decorated with over 50-thousand lights and stay up until January 13th. Rockefeller Center head gardener Erik Pauze hand-selected the tree, saying it "has the perfect shape" and "looks beautiful."
