As we previously told you, last week Swedish group ABBA teased a massive comeback and now the details are finally out. The band just announced a new album, virtual concert, and dropped two new songs.
The album, “The Voyage” will drop November 5th, and feature the two newly released songs, “I Still Have Faith In You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down.” Both are the first new songs from ABBA since they released “Under Attack” in December 1982.
- As for the concert, dubbed “ABBA Voyage,” it will feature avatars of band members Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, backed by a live 10-piece band. It is set to open May 27th, 2022 at an arena built just for it. The the ABBA Arena is described as a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
- “It’s been a while since we made music together. Almost 40 years, actually. We took a break in the spring of 1982 and now we’ve decided it’s time to end it,” the band shares. “To all of you who patiently have followed us in some way or another these past decades: Thank you for waiting — it’s time for a new journey to begin.” Check out the two new songs to the right.
