Aerosmith has just signed a new deal that’s giving them total control over their masters.

The band just announced they’ve signed a new global partnership with Universal Music Group, which includes their entire discography, merchandise and audio-video projects. UMG will also be Aerosmith’s home for any future projects, including new film, television and audio-visual content celebrating the band’s upcoming 50th anniversary.

This mean starting next year, all of the band recordings will be unified in one place, and plans call for all band members to actively curate their collections for future releases, including never-before-seen material.

Joe Perry shares that the new deal “will allow us to bring our music to our fans in ways we never were able to before,” adding, “It's something we've dreamed about happening for a long time,” noting, “Needless to say we are very excited. It's an incredible way to celebrate 50 years and the many more years to come."
