  • Experts at Forbes Advisor analyzed data from the TSA to determine which airports in the U.S. are the worst for losing or damaging luggage.
  • They looked at the 100 busiest airports in the country, scoring them on the number of property damage and property loss claims and reimbursements.
  • John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City tops the list, followed by Miami International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

STUDY: CHOCOLATE MAY BE SECRET TO AVOIDING JET LAG

  • New research from the University of Sydney and Qantas Airways has led to the sweet discovery that chocolate could help beat jet lag after long-haul flights.
  • In simulations of long plane rides, volunteers followed a “specially designed menu, lighting, sleep and movement sequences” and wore devices to monitor the effects.
  • Researchers conclude that those who ate the chocolate had better quality sleep during the flight, less severe jet lag and better cognitive performance in the days following.
