The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir talked with CBS’ John Blackstone on the network’s “Sunday Morning” show and talked about keeping the band’s music alive in new ways. Part of the conversation was about his collaboration with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C. last month for four concerts playing orchestral editions of Grateful Dead’s classic songs.
“I’m not sure if the orchestral players know what they’re walking into,” Weir said before talking about keeping the music alive. “My major consideration is, what are people going to say about what I’m doing in 300 years?”
