Brandi Carlile & Joni Mitchell Performing Next Summer At The Gorge In Washington

As we told you, over the summer Joni Mitchell joined Brandi Carlile at the Newport Folk Festival for her first live performance in front of a crowd since suffering a brain aneurysm in 2015. Well, now she’s ready to do it again.

Brandi announced on “The Daily Show” that she and Joni are teaming for what’s being dubbed “Echoes Through The Canyon,” a two-night run at The Gorge in Washington state. The shows will go down June 9^th and 10^th, with Brandi headlining solo on the 9^th, and Joni joining her for a “Joni Jam” on the 10^th, which will be similar to the Newport set, with Joni joined by a variety of artists. 

“After Newport Joni said, ‘I want to do another show. I want to play again,” Brandi said on “The Daily Show.” “No one’s been able to buy a ticket to see Joni Mitchell play in 20 years so this is enormous, and she’s so excited because it’s close to Canada.”

• So far there’s no word on when tickets for the shows will go on sale.
