Bruce Springsteen hit the stage in New York this week as part of the lineup for Steve Earle’s annual John Henry’s Friends Benefit.
The Boss, joined by Earle’s backing band The Dukes, performed an electric set featuring such classics as “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “The Promised Land,” and "Glory Days,” with Willie Nile, and then teamed with Earle for 1984’s “Pink Cadillac.”
The performance was Bruce’s first electric set since his “The River” tour, which wrapped in 2017.
The benefit, which raised over $100,000 for the Keswell School, which educates children and young adults with autism, also featured Roseanne Cash, with Bruce joining her and Earle for a cover of the Crosby Stills & Nash classic “Teach Your Children.”
