Bruce Springsteen’s Handwritten Lyrics To “Thunder Road” And More Up For Auction

Bruce Springsteen fans have a chance to get their hands on some pretty awesome pieces of memorabilia.
Handwritten lyrics of Bruce songs “Thunder Road,” “For You,” and “Night” are up for auction later this month. Also up for auction is the Hohner Marine Band “F” harmonica used on the original recording of “Thunder Road.”
The auction is set to take place October 28th via Bonhams, with the “Thunder Road” lyrics expected to sell for between $50,000 an $70,000. It is written in pen on a notebook page, and features two different drafts of the opening verse, both of which say Mary’s dress “waves,” although earlier this year Bruce’s manager insists it’s “sways.”
As for the other items, the harmonica is estimated to go for between $5,000 and $7,000; and the “For You” and “Night” lyrics both have an estimate of $25,000 to $30,000.
