King Charles III might not have asked for advice, but he’s getting it from Yusuf Islam (aka Cat Stevens) anyway. The outspoken artist has sent the King a manifesto of sorts ahead of Charles’ official May crowning.

“Even if you are King, you are still a servant of God,” writes Islam/Stevens in a 10-point list meant for the new monarch. He goes on to encourage the King to “feed the hungry,” “help the sick and homeless,” and “listen to constructive criticism.”

In a separate note, the singer hinted at what inspired him to reach out to the King. “One of the privileges of being an artist is to express what seems unimaginable, and then hang it up there for people to ponder,” he wrote. “We can say things that others can’t. Sure, I know full well music can’t necessarily solve the world’s problems, but it can help to direct the narrative.”
