David Lee Roth Comments On Rumored Van Halen Tribute Tour

As we told you, in a recent interview Joe Satriani shared that he was approached about performing with Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth for a Van Halen tribute tour. And former Metallica bassist Jason Newstead said he was approached by Alex and Joe as well. Well, now Roth has commented on the reports.
“In my mind, ‘Van Halen 4k,’ in the age of COVID is going to require two of us for every position," Roth shared to the Van Halen News Desk. "Satriani and (Toto’s Steve) Lukather, (Michael) Anthony and Newsted, Al or Tommy Lee.”
So, if you need two of everyone, would Sammy Hagar be David Lee Roth’s paring? Well, apparently not, with Diamond Dave noting, “Probably the only one who could do my job is Pink.”
