Dire Straits is set to release a new box set in honor of Mark Knopfler’s 71st birthday. Fans will get a look back at Dire Straits’ studio albums from 1978 to 1991 with the new six-CD collection.
The series kicks off with their self-titled debut, including their signature song “Sultans of Swing,” followed by 1979’s “Communiqué” and 1980’s “Making Movies.” Fans will also get their hands on 1982’s “Love Over Gold” and 1985’s record-breaking “Brothers In Arms” – not to mention, the band’s final album together, 1991’s “On Every Street,” which came a few years before their split was confirmed in 1995.
“Dire Straits – The Studio Albums 1978-1992” box set is due for release on October 9th. Fans can pre-order the collection HERE.
