Earth, Wind & Fire saxophonist Andrew Woolfolk dies: Andrew Woolfolk, best known for being the saxophonist for Earth, Wind & Fire, passed away Sunday at the age of 74. According to EWF singer Philip Bailey, Woofolk succumbed to an illness he battled “"over six years.” “I met him in high school, and we quickly became friends and bandmates," Bailey shared. “Great memories. Great Talent. Funny. Competitive. Quick-witted. And always styling.” Woolfolk joined EWF in 1973, and can be heard on such classic songs as “Shining Star,” “September” and many more.
