Eddie Van Halen Guitar Expected To Fetch $3-Million At Sotheby's Auction

Sotheby’s is currently hosting an auction that includes some major memorabilia from rock and roll. Among those items currently scheduled to be up for bid are a Bob Dylan-autographed manuscript, a Paul McCartney-autographed bass, and once of Prince’s purple suits from “Purple Rain.”
But the item expected to turn the most heads? Eddie Van Halen's legendary Kramer guitar from the video of “Hot For Teacher.” Van Halen died in 2020, and auctioneers are expecting the late rocker’s guitar to sell in the neighborhood of $2 - $3 million. Other items expected to rake in the cash are a dress worn on-stage by Janis Joplin and one of George Harrison’s Hamer guitars.
