Elton John is extending his record for the most top 10 songs on “Billboard’s” Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart. His song with Dua Lipa, “Cold Heart (Pnau Remix),” has risen from the 11th to 10th spot on the list dated September 25th.
Elton has notched 40 AC top 10s over the last 50-plus years, his first being “Your Song” in the ninth spot back in February 1971. Before the single with Dua Lipa, his last top 10 was “Answer The Sky” in the seventh spot in January 2005.
Elton’s record beats Neil Diamond’s 38 top 10s on the chart, as well as Barbra Streisand’s 25, Presley’s 21, followed by Dionne Warwick, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, Whitney Houston, Chicago, James Taylor, and Bobby Vinton.
