Elton John, Ringo Starr and more are among the big names mentioned in the leaked Pandora Papers, exposing offshore dealings and assets of the world’s most powerful people.
The report, put together by the International Consortium of Investigate Journalists (ICIJ) is based on the leak of nearly 12-million documents from 14 financial services companies. More than 300 world leaders, politicians, business figures and entertainment stars have been tied to offshore accounting and tax avoidance schemes. Along with the names we mentioned, Shakira, Julio Iglesias, Tony Blair, Vladimir Putin and more are included in the leaks.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Elton, Ringo and Shakira set up PO box companies in tax havens like the British Virgin Islands, Panama and the Bahamas, often used in tax schemes.
