Eric Carmen, "All by Myself" Singer, Dies at 74: A pop star responsible for a number of solo hits, who also happened to front Cleveland-based pop band The Raspberries in the ’70s, has left us. Eric Carmen, singer of classics like “All By Myself” and the “Dirty Dancing” anthem “Hungry Eyes,” passed away at 74. Wife Amy Carmen confirmed the singer died “in his sleep, over the weekend,” but as of this writing, no cause of death has been released. “All By Myself” was the singer’s peak at #2, but he also appeared in the Top 10 with “Hungry Eyes” and “Make Me Lose Control.” RIP.
