Eric Clapton has been forced to postpone two European tour dates after testing positive for COVID. The shows in Zurich on May 17th and Milan on May 18th were both postponed, and both are expected to be rescheduled within the next six months.
His team released a statement on the situation, saying in part “Eric Clapton is, unfortunately, suffering from COVID having tested positive shortly after the second concert at Royal Albert Hall.” The statement goes on to say that “Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, promoters, their staff, and of course, the fans.”
The legendary 77-year-old guitarist is hoping to pick his tour back up with concerts scheduled in Bologna on May 20th and 21st.
