Aussie singing legend John Farnham is no stranger to comebacks. Never settling for retirement from the stage and from recording, Farnham surprised everyone by releasing a hit record out of nowhere at age 38. From that album, “Whispering Jack,” came the song that gave Farnham his nickname- “You’re The Voice.”
Farnham is also hailed in the U.S. as the lead vocalist for the Little River Band during part of their peak period.
But now 73-year-old Farnham is waging a different kind of comeback. The singer is battling cancer, having just had major surgery to remove a growth. It is said Farnham has also had “a health setback” during his current fight.
So, it’s interesting timing that “John Farnham: Finding The Voice” has just dropped its first trailer. The authorized documentary highlights life from childhood through the ups-and-downs of his career. The film is due out on May 18th from Sony Pictures, and you can check out the trailer on the right.
