Joni Mitchell’s “River” Gets First Video

One of Joni Mitchell’s classic songs has gotten its first-ever video. Just ahead of Christmas, an animated video for “River,” from Joni’s classic album “Blue,” was released.
The video is made up of black-and-white water-colors, which only turns to color at the end with the frozen landscape turning green and the river turning blue.
“‘River’ expresses regret at the end of a relationship…but it’s also about being lonely at Christmas time…A Christmas song for people who are lonely at Christmas! We need a song like that,” Joni shared.
