Yesterday we alerted you that the case surrounding the will of legendary singer Aretha Franklin was going to trial. Well, it didn’t take long for a decision to be made…
The judge ruled in favor of Franklin’s two sons, Kecalf and Edward, who argued a 2014 will the singer drew up herself (and was found under the couch a year after her 2018 death) was the real will. That was bad news for their brother, Ted White II (“Teddy”), who was executor of the previous 2010 will- and nowhere to be found in the 2014 version.
With this ruling, the estate of Franklin seems to be finally be settled and Kecalf and Edward can claim a major legal battle over the icon’s $6 million empire.
