Mariah Carey Stops By Library Of Congress For Holiday Hit Honor: Mariah Carey made a cameo in D.C. Thursday when she breezed into the Library of Congress, following the induction of the iconic Christmas song "All I Want for Christmas is You" into the 2023 National Recording Registry, according to Library officials. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden presented Carey with a certificate commemorating the honor, which happens to be her first song inducted. During Carey’s visit she reportedly checked out the Library collections, along with the Christmas tree and holiday decorations. "All I Want for Christmas is You" was actually one of 25 others inducted back in April, including Madonna's 1984 "Like a Virgin" and Queen Latifah's 1989 "All Hail the Queen.”
