New Documentary On Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” In The Works

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and to celebrate the Sony Music and the late King of Pop’s estate is readying a documentary on the making of the record.
Noted journalist and music historian Nelson George is directing the film, which will focus on the recording of the record, as well as the short films were released with it. There’s no word on when it will be released, but is expected to include never-before-seen footage, interviews and more.
The doc isn’t the only way “Thriller” is being celebrated this year. As we told you, a double-CD “Thriller 40” will be released November 18th, featuring a bonus disc off never-before-released tracks.
