Looks like Paul Simon is working on some new music. According to cabaret singer Barbara Fasano, the legendary singer is hard at work at New York’s Reservoir Studio, although he was apparently not too busy to help her out.
Farsano shared on Facebook that she was recording a cover of the Simon & Garfunkel tune “Old Friends” when she found out the 80-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was also recording in the studio. She introduced herself and says his “face lit up and he was on his feet” when he found out they were going to record his song.
“Everyone got introduced and Paul Simon pulled out his guitar and coached us on voicings and instrumentation,” she writes, calling it “a crazy surreal moment.”
Simon previously revealed he was working on new music in an audiobook conversation with Malcolm Gladwell. The album, tentatively titled “The Seven Palms,” doesn’t have a release date yet.
