Prince fans are getting new music this summer. The never-before-released album, “Welcome 2 America,” is set to drop July 30th.
A statement from the singer’s Estate says the album, recorded in 2010, “documents Prince’s concerns, hopes, and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, disinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice.”
Fans are also getting the first taste of the album with the title track, which is out now.
- In addition to the album, the Estate is releasing a seven-inch vinyl collector single, featuring a studio version of the title track, and previously unreleased live version, performed at The Forum. Check out the title track to the right and the track list below:
