As we told you last month there were reports that Bruce Springsteen was in talks to sell the rights to his recorded music, and possibly his publishing catalog, to Sony Music. Well, “Variety” is among those reporting that it’s a done deal.

According to the trade, The Boss has signed a $500-million deal with Sony, which will now be the new owners of his masters and publishing. That’s a whole lot more that the rumored $350M he was reportedly asking for earlier this year.

So far Bruce has not confirmed the report, but if it's true, it's the biggest deal of it's kind. For some perspective, Bob Dylan’s sale of his works to Universal was sealed for nearly $400-million.
