Rick Astley’s classic single “Never Gonna Give You Up” just reached a new YouTube milestone. The clip has officially been viewed over one billion times. 

The video, which was uploaded to the site about 12 years ago, certainly got some extra views due to “rickrolling” memes, in which someone shares a link to one thing, only to get the clip in return.

The clip is now the fourth 1980s track to reach one billion, following Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” A-Ha’s “Take on Me,” and Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” Source: Variety
