Ringo Starr got back behind a drum kit for a good cause but he was certainly not alone. The rock icon led over 100 drummers for WhyHunger’s “Drum Together,” with all the musicians joining together to perform The Beatles' classic “Come Together.”

The star-studded performance featured such famous drummers as Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, E Street Band’s Max Weinberg, and Free’s Simon Kirke, as well as 11-year-old Nandi Bushell.

“We all can agree that no kid should be hungry, and everyone should have access to nutritious food,” Ringo said. “This is a great cause that I’ve supported in the past and a great track – one of my favorite Beatles songs. So when Jim Keltner asked me to join all these other drummers I was happy to.”

"Drum Together" hopes to raise awareness of WhyHunger’s work to end hunger in the U.S. and more. Proceeds from th song will go towards ending global hunger, investing in solutions and more.
