Steve Perry Releasing Acoustic “Traces” Album

Steve Perry has new music coming out this winter – well, sort of. The former Journey frontman is putting out an acoustic version of his 2018 album “Traces.”
Perry has announced the release in a new interview with “Rolling Stone.” He’ll put out striped-down version of eight songs from “Traces” on a record cut at Abbey Road Studios. “Traces” marked the singer’s big comeback after a break from the spotlight since 1998.
“I’m really proud of it, it’s called ‘Traces Alternate Versions and Sketches,’” he says. “I’m really pleased with the sonics and the simplicity of the songs and lyrics and chords, which is basically what it’s stripped down to.”
