Sting is gearing up to release his new album “The Bridge.” He’s unveiled the first single, “If It’s Love.”

The 10-track album was recorded during the pandemic, and Sting says the lead single is about how falling in or out of love can be like an “incurable sickness.” “’If It’s Love’ is my addition to that canon,” he notes. “Where the tropes of metaphorical symptoms, diagnosis, and downright incapacity are all familiar enough to make each of us smile ruefully.”

“The Bridge” is due for release on November 19th and can be pre-ordered HERE

  • ONE MORE THING! Sting has apologized to Simone Vincenzo Velluti Zati, heir of the late Italian duke who sold Sting his Tuscan winery 25 years ago, after offending the family with comments he made about the Palagio winery near Florence. Sting had told an Italian magazine that an “excellent” glass of red wine convinced him to buy the winery, but that it turned out the wine was a Barolo from Piedmont, not a local Tuscan Chianti like he thought. Valluti Zati hit back calling Sting’s comments “slander, poisonous and completely false,” saying they damaged his reputation and the memory of his father. Sting has responded with a letter offering his “sincere and unequivocal apologies,” insisting that he only meant to poke fun of himself for not being able to “distinguish a Barolo from a bar of soap.”
