New Yorkers won’t have to skip SummerStage this year, after all. Sting, Rufus Wainwright, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, and more are set to perform a newly-announced SummerStage event happening next month – but instead of Central Park, it’ll take place online.
The City Parks Foundation has announced a new take on their annual gala, “SummerStage Jubilee: Songs & Stories Benefiting Free Programs in Parks.” Along with the names we mentioned before, Norah Jones, Rosanne Cash, Leslie Odom Jr, Maroon 5’s PJ Morton and Billie Jean King are also set to make appearances.
The event is free, but donors can purchase “rooms” for the virtual event starting at $1000, with proceeds going towards parks programs and equipment. The SummerStage galal kicks off on September 17th at 8pm ET – check out more info HERE.
