“Stranger Things” Helps Kate Bush Hit Land In Hot 100 Top 10

As we told you, Kate Bush’s 1985 classic “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” is experiencing a new resurgence thanks to the pivotal role it plays in season four of the Netflix series “Stranger Things.” Well, that renewed popularity has launched the song into the “Billboard” Hot 100 singles chart for the very first time.
The tune lands at eight on the singles chart, which is a new high for the track. It previously got as high as 30 in November of 1985. It’s Bush’s first time on the Hot 100 since then. In addition to the Hot 100, the track debuts at one on the Digital Song Sales chart, her very first leader on that chart. It’s also at six on the Streaming Songs chart.
“Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” is featured on Bush’s 1985 album “Hounds of Love” and now also appears on the “Stranger Things 4” soundtrack.
