All good things must come to an end..especially in Las Vegas. Historic Sin City headliner Tony Orlando has announced he’ll bring down the curtain on his 62-year live concert career on March 22nd.
Orlando has raked in 15 Top 40 hits, including hitting the #1 Billboard Song Of The Year in 1973 with “Tie A Yellow Ribbon.” The single eventually became his theme song for the singer, who got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. It also brought him his sole GRAMMY nomination.
And though Orlando made a home out of some of Vegas’ biggest venues, including Caesar’s Palace, he won’t be calling it a day there. “I am so honored my last concert will be at my favorite venue on Earth, Mohegan Sun,” he announced, referring to the 10,000-seat arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. “Thank you for making my dreams come true.”
