The Tribeca Film Festival returns to New York June 8th to 19th, with music documentaries about T. Rex, Leonard Cohen and Sinead O’Connor, among the films getting a screening during the fest.

“Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex” is scheduled to get its premiere at the fest. The film, written and directed by Ethan Silverman, features appearances by Ringo Starr, Nick Cave, Joan Jett and more.

The Leonard Cohen doc, “Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song,” premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year, but will screen at Tribeca. It looks at the singer’s life through her classic song ‘Hallelujah.” The Tribeca screening will be followed by a tribute concert with performances by Judy Collins, Amanda Shires, Sharon Robinson, and a surprise guest.

The Sinead O’Connor doc, “Nothing Compares,” tells the story of the Irish singer’s life as a musician, mother, and iconoclast in her own words.
