In case you don't remember, U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was given its name after the 1972 massacre where the British army shot at unarmed protestors. Fourteen people were killed, which was most people killed in a shooting during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. To commemorate the 50th anniversary, the band is sharing a new acoustic version of the song.
The group posted a new black-and-white video their Insta page. In it, Bono and The Edge play an acoustic rendition of the song. While The Edge plays his guitar solo, archival footage clips begin to show through the video. They simply captioned the performance, “30 January 2022 – With love, Bono & Edge."
