Since the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991, Queen has released several previously unreleased tracks featuring his vocals, and now they’re going to release another. During an interview about the queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Brian May and Roger Taylor broke the news on BBC Radio 2.
Taylor said, “We did find a little gem from Freddie that we’d kind of forgotten about and it was – It’s wonderful.” He added that the song is from the recording sessions for the band’s 1989 album “The Miracle,” and May said the song was “kind of hiding in plain sight,” requiring the band’s engineers to piece it together.
The song is scheduled to be released in September; Queen with Adam Lambert plays nine shows overseas in the next two weeks.
