Barry Manilow’s off-Broadway musical “Harmony” opened last night in New York, but the singer was forced to miss the big night, after testing positive for COVID.
“This just might be the cruelest thing that has ever happened to me,” he shared, “25 years waiting for this show to premiere in New York and I can’t attend.” He added, "Even in the face of this pandemic, we New Yorkers remain the toughest, staunchest people on the planet — so, put on a mask and go see a show!”
“Harmony,” which Barry wrote with longtime collaborator Bruce Sussman, is playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park City.
