Bob Dylan Plays Surprise Grateful Dead Cover At Show

For 37 shows in his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour that started in November, Bob Dylan didn’t change his setlist at all, but that unbroken streak ended at his Oakland, California performance when he covered the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil” instead of the song that’s been closing every set since last year, “Every Grain of Sand.”
It was the first time Dylan has played the song live since 2007.
